As you would expect from these guys, it’s a quality product well thought out. Great for holding a OO gauge Loco for maintenance work or simply adding additional detailing. I have not used it as such but I suppose there’s no reason you could not use it on your other rolling stock for cleaning and detailing purposes.
Extremely nice model of a classic Irish goods van.
Brilliant recording and crystal clear audio when combined with the Accurathrash 8 ohm speaker. Love the cold start and wheel slip options! Can’t fault this at all.
Another superb Type 2! Especially love the ability to add the touches to bring it up to it's as preserved condition.
We are definitely living in the golden age of irish railway models. This is such a difficult design executed to perfection. And so well packed. Congrats again to Accurascale
5/5- beautiful model and a great addition to the fleet.
Now you can see parts of the circuit board through the window, but when it’s going around the layout you won’t.
I did have a motor issue with this model, but Accurascale were quick to respond and fixed the model in a timely manner.
The detail is amazing with many extra separately fitted parts. The cab lights up, which really does bring this model to life.
The paint work is crisp, with no bleed between the colours.
Would I recommend - yes
Would I buy again - yes
Have I brought again - yes
Perfect bugfers, use to replace other buffers, broken or missing buffers or use in scratch builds.
Always well packed and super quick delivery
Another excellent set of crew figures that look like real people. So easyto add them to the cab.
I have quite a large layout and bought the ESU 50012 ECoSBoost to power extra areas and keep voltage consistent across the system. It connects neatly to the ECoS via ECoSlink, provides 7A output, and helps divide a layout into proper power sections.
In use, it works extremely well. Power delivery is stable, running is consistent, and it gives real confidence when operating multiple locomotives with sound and lighting.
It is expensive for what is effectively a booster power unit, but it is a brilliant system and a very worthwhile addition to a larger ECoS controlled layout.
The sound chip gives such a rich sound when used with the Accurathrash speaker , well happy.
I have today received two of Accurascale's brand new Irish Park Royal coaches and I had to get a review done right away - I simply was not prepared for how incredible these vehicles are. They are, as always, packed to a very high standard, which has ensured that both reached me in perfect condition with no damage or parts dropped off etc. There is a substantial booklet included in the box, full of interesting prototype information and advice about maintaining the model, and the model itself is very heavy, with a metal chassis. Detail is on a new level and they run very smoothly. Plus the lighting feature works a treat! These will surely sell out so get in there quick if you think you might
After picking up a couple of 37/4s seeing this had become avalable after seeing they were sold out I decided to get one. The detail changes have made the model so different and it stands out nicely from the others. As always the model is a great runner and I'm looking forward to running it more.
Having picked up a couple of the first run of 37/4s when this model was anounced I just had to order one. After it arrived I can say it was worth the wait, the little upgrades have made this one better than the first run. So much so I ended up getting a second identical one to renumber to another loco to go with the first.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
These coal loads for the HTO/HTV 21t hoppers look excellent once fitted. The coal colour and texture are very realistic, and they make the wagons look much more complete and convincing on the layout.
My only issue is the fit. Because these loads have to sit precisely inside the hopper body, they can be a little tight in some wagons and do not always drop in as easily as expected. That may be down to very small tolerance differences between the wagons and the loads, rather than a major fault, but it is worth noting.
Once in place, they look superb and add a lot to the finished wagon. A very good accessory overall, but because of the tight fit on some examples, I would give them 4 out of 5.
This is my fifth of the six Class 37 locomotives I bought from Accurascale’s third run, and it is another absolutely excellent locomotive.
The RF Metals 37902 is a brilliant model and, in my opinion, Accurascale’s Class 37 is the best locomotive they make across their whole range. The detail, the weight, the finish, the livery application and the overall presence of the model are all superb. This one captures the Railfreight Metals look beautifully, and the 37902 British Steel Llanwern identity gives it real character.
The DCC sound version was definitely the right choice. The sound fitted model brings the locomotive to life, and the way it runs is exactly what I have come to expect from Accurascale’s Class 37s. Smooth, powerful, reliable and full of detail. The lighting functions, the sound, the motorised fan and all the small touches make it feel like a premium model straight out of the box.
What also says a lot is how quickly these Class 37s sell out. They simply do not hang around on the Accurascale website. Most of this run disappeared almost immediately, with only the non-sound EWS version left when I last looked. I am not especially a fan of the EWS livery in real life, so that one is not really a must-have for me at the moment, although I am still considering it purely because Accurascale’s Class 37 tooling is so good.
This RF Metals 37902 is exactly why I bought so many from the third run. It is beautifully detailed, superbly finished and a fantastic runner. For me, Accurascale’s Class 37 has become the benchmark OO gauge diesel locomotive, and this 37902 is one of the best examples of it.
Highly recommended.
The Accurascale Class 37 37420 in Large Logo Blue is absolutely superb. The blue and yellow BR livery is one of the great Class 37 colour schemes, and Accurascale has captured it beautifully. The colours look fantastic, the finish is crisp, and the model has real presence on the layout.
This is one of six Class 37s I bought from Accurascale's third run, and one of two I chose in the blue and yellow BR livery. In my opinion, 37420 is definitely one of the better Class 37s Accurascale has produced.
The detailing is exceptional, the factory-fitted DCC sound is excellent, and the running quality is smooth and powerful at both low and higher speeds. It feels solid, refined and every bit the premium model it should be.
You know a model is good when it sells out almost immediately, and these Run 3 sound-fitted Class 37s have done exactly that. They have only been available for around a week or so, and the sound-fitted versions have already sold out on Accurascale's own website.
A fantastic locomotive, beautifully executed, and one of the highlights of my Class 37 collection. Highly recommended if you can still find one through a dealer.
The ESU 41010 Loco Cradle is a must-have for any serious model railway enthusiast. It safely and securely holds OO gauge locomotives while you work on them, fit decoders, service them or carry out general maintenance.
It is far better than using improvised foam blocks or other makeshift solutions. The ESU cradle feels properly designed for the job, protects the model well and gives you confidence when working on detailed locomotives.
For the price, it is excellent value and one of those accessories you quickly wonder how you managed without. Simple, practical and absolutely brilliant.
The ESU 50005 Docking Station is a simple but essential accessory for the Mobile Control II or Pro. It sits perfectly next to the ECoS system, matches the setup nicely, and holds the mobile controller securely when not in use.
It makes the whole control area feel neater, more organised and more professional. Yes, it is expensive for what is essentially a piece of plastic, but if you are using the ESU Mobile Control Pro with an ECoS, it is still well worth adding.
The ESU 50115 Mobile Control Pro wireless throttle and Access Point set is an excellent addition to the ESU ECoS system. It gives you proper handheld control without being tied to the main command station, which makes operating a layout far more enjoyable and flexible.
Setup with the ECoS is straightforward, and once connected it feels responsive, accurate and very natural to use. Speed control is smooth, function access is easy, and it is especially useful when running multiple locomotives or moving around the layout.
I was impressed enough to buy two of them, which says a lot. Used alongside the ECoS command station, this is a superb controller and a worthwhile upgrade for anyone serious about DCC operation.
4th class 37 from this batch and just as pleased with this model, looking forward to the next batch announcement.
The Accurascale Class 60 60100 DB Red is an outstanding model, based on the last of the hundred Class 60s built in real life. I now have 60001 and 60100, which makes this particularly special in my collection.
The attention to detail is superb, the finish is crisp, and the heavy metal chassis gives it real presence and excellent hauling power. In my opinion, this is the best Class 60 currently available.
This is also a charity model, with profits supporting a good cause, and it is an Accurascale exclusive, available only directly from their website. I purchased it as DCC ready before I had my ESU ECoS controller, and later added a LokSound decoder and speaker to get full functionality. By the time you add those parts, it ends up costing around 30% more than buying the sound-fitted version outright. My advice is simple: if you want sound, buy the sound-fitted model straight from Accurascale.
I love my Class 60’s and have collected nearly every Accurascale release, along with most Hornby versions since 2019, with more Class 60s on pre-order from Accurascale this summer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for accurate, reliable and beautifully detailed Class 60’s.
